Unique glazes
Our sand colour is created using our own unique white zirconium glaze that transforms from pink to a warm sandy neutral hue when fired. While our moss-green colour is achieved using a high-iron glaze we craft ourselves, that changes from pastel red to the deep moss-green hue when fired.
Life long commitment to your pottery
We believe in creating a circular product life cycle and a lifelong connection with your handmade pottery. If any of our pottery breaks during its life, you can send us the broken bits and receive a 30% discount for the same item. We will crush the broken pottery into sand-sized pieces and blend it into our own terracotta clay, along with other New Zealand clay, for use in our pottery.

Our hand crafting process
Each lump of clay is hand-wedged to remove air and create consistent texture, before using a pottery wheel to shape it while it spins. After leaving the item to dry, it's bisque-fired at 950°C then dipped in glaze to seal the surface and add colour. The glazed pottery is then fired in the kiln again at 1280°C to melt and fuse the glaze with the clay, creating a durable finish which is then ready for use.
